Session 7: Listening – “Tell me more!”

July 28 – August 1

This week we will work on perfecting our leaders listening skills by turning them into Investigative Reporters. Paying close attention will be important skill as we start harvesting vegetables from the camp garden to prepare salsa for a camp snack.

Listening in Action: They’ll be investigators on Wednesday and use their active listening skills to get the scoop on a “situation” happening at camp. They’ll l tell the world about their discoveries by publishing stories on our Swim&Gym Facebook page.

Leadership Action Focus: On Friday, we’ll travel with the younger camp to Devils Lake State park. They’ll show the younger camp the importance of listening to direction to keep fun in the sun safe.

Leadership skills: Our focus will be on self-expression, showing understanding using active listening skills, and establishing trust.
